Medical Services and Special Needs Medical services
Portable oxygen tanks and concentrators are allowed on board having given Crystal 30 days written notice and provided that the guest is travelling with a person who has full knowledge of the equipment and its operation. Oxygen dependent guests can only join cruises where their equipment can be adeqautely supported by an independant contractor and where the cruise itinerary allows frequent disembarkations for medical purposes. Crystal Cruises requires written notice of any guests that cannot completely care for themselves or may prove a risk to other passengers and reserves the right to refuse travel in these circumstances.
Special Needs Passengers
Certain State Rooms offer extra wide doors, accessible bathrooms and wheel-in closets. Wheelchair users must bring their own standard sized wheelchair (22.5" wide) and must be accompanied for better access to all areas. Certain ports of call and shore excursions may be unsuitable for physically impaired guests. The Shore Excursion Staff will advise on their suitability. The Hollywood Theatre is equipped with a Star Sound Infrared Hearing System and both ships offer selected television programming with sub titles. |
